Product description
This is an exceptional 3.19ct heat treated, Natural ruby with a gorgeous vivid red hue. Minor heat treatment was probably used to improve the clarity of the stone, and they did a good job of it. The symmetry of the stone is perfect, and ideal as a pear shape. Perfect for a long pendant necklace - have it set in gold, let it shine, let it glow!
The Pear shape, also known as the “tear drop” shape is a great cut combining the brilliance of both round and oval cut stones with the brilliance of a marquise cut stones. Like the marquise, an interesting thing to note, is that pear shapes tend to make fingers appear longer and slimmer. Whether you’re looking for a sapphire or a ruby, the pear shape is a beautiful and classic option for sapphire and ruby jewelry.
A classic, solitaire ring setting that can be created with a pear shaped gemstone. A stylish and functional basket holds the gemstone and gives the stone added protection for everyday wear. This setting has three prongs.
