Product description
This 2.02-carat natural ruby from Tanzania, an important source for the stone, has a color that rivals the red cloaks worn by the Maasai warriors who live there. According to the Gemological Institute of America, the color is natural, unenhanced by heat treatment, which is quite rare considering that rubies are commonly heat-treated. This ruby also has “vivid” color intensity, meaning it has the most color saturation possible without moving toward opaque or “over-colored.”The clarity show only slight inclusions, which also have not been enhanced. Adding to its strengths is a cushion shape with very good length-to-width ratio and depth percentage.
