Product description

From the red earth of Burma to the final polish in our workshop, these rubies tell a story of time and hands, patience and skill. Mined in Myanmar where centuries of gem lore meet the patience of modern cutters, each rough stone carried the trace of geological heat and pressure that crystallized their signature red. At The Natural Ruby Company we respect that origin and work to reveal rather than remake the gem, stabilizing color and clarity through expert heat treatment that enhances their natural character. The pair arrives as cushion shapes, each cut in a mixed brilliant style to balance fire with face up color, and each given an excellent polish to maximize light return. Clarity is graded as very slightly included, evaluated at eye level, which preserves the stones authenticity while allowing vivid color intensity to dominate. The larger stone weighs 2.48 carats and measures 9.32 by 6.42 by 4.08 millimeters, the companion weighs 2.32 carats and measures 9.34 by 6.44 by 4.68 millimeters, and together they bear the subtle signatures of Burmese origin in both tone and saturation.

These two rubies complement one another in size and hue in a way that feels both deliberate and naturally achieved. Their carat weights are closely matched so they sit in harmony when paired, while slight differences in depth and table dimensions create a gentle play between facets that enlivens any setting. The hue reads as vivid red across both stones, yet upon close inspection one finds a slightly warmer core in one stone and a purer crimson in the other, a contrast that brings richness when they are worn together, like a conversation between siblings. The cushion outline and mixed brilliant cutting unite them stylistically, giving a balanced silhouette for matched earrings, a twin center design, or a matched pair for bespoke pieces. These rubies carry the trace of their journey, from Burmese alluvial and primary deposits through careful cutting and heat enhancement to the hands that set them, and they arrive ready to be transformed into heirloom jewelry that honors their origin. For those who seek a pair that feels both matched and alive, The Natural Ruby Company presents these stones as a living pairing, vivid in color, sympathetic in size, and exceptional in provenance.
