Product description

This pendant is crafted entirely in platinum 950, centered on a transparent marquise shape ruby weighing 0.96 carat, with dimensions of 9.29 x 4.24 x 2.96 mm and a mixed brilliant cut. The ruby displays a pinkish red hue with vivid color saturation and an excellent polish, and its clarity is graded as very very slightly included at eye level. Complementing the center stone are natural white round diamonds weighing approximately 0.20 carats in total, graded VS for clarity and F G for color, arranged to accentuate the ruby without overpowering its tone. The marquise proportions and mixed brilliant faceting emphasize lengthwise brilliance and fire, while the platinum 950 mount provides a secure and understated setting that preserves the gem profiles and allows light to pass through the pavilion for optimal scintillation.

The ruby was sourced from Madagascar, selected through direct partnerships managed by The Natural Ruby Company with responsible local miners and trusted sorting houses. Each parcel was evaluated on site for color and transparency before being brought to our cutting partners, where cutters were instructed to balance yield and optical performance to achieve the marquise form and the mixed brilliant facet arrangement. The selection process prioritized stones that exhibit natural transparency and vivid saturation, followed by a documented chain of custody and quality control inspections to ensure traceability and responsible practices. After cutting and polishing, the ruby and accent diamonds were set by experienced platinum smiths, and the finished pendant underwent final inspection to confirm proportions, polish, and secure setting. The result is a piece that reflects both the geological character of Madagascar rubies and the technical refinement of contemporary gem cutting and platinum work.
