Product description

One beautiful translucent 13.15 carat round shape pinkish red ruby is presented, dimensions 12.40 x 12.56 x 8.03 mm, cutting style cabochon, domed upper surface with a substantial crown height that maximizes internal color saturation and light return, flat to slightly convex base maintained for stability in mounting, excellent polish on both dome and girdle area which produces a smooth, continuous surface and consistent light flow across the table, symmetry and outline held to tight tolerances which preserve the round silhouette while allowing the stone to exhibit uniform color distribution, intense color intensity grading, hue tending toward a warm pinkish red with strong saturation and medium to medium deep tone, translucency allows internal glow rather than full transparency which is ideal for cabochon presentation, this cut and finish accentuate the stone body color and the subtle interplay of light within the material, the proportions including the 8.03 mm thickness create a deep visual depth which is highly desirable in collector grade cabochon rubies.

Clarity is graded included at eye level, inclusions are described in technical terms as a combination of oriented rutile silk, isolated mineral crystal inclusions, healed negative crystal cavities, and localized healed fissures which together form an internal fingerprint that is unique to this specimen, these inclusions scatter light in a way that produces a silky translucence and fine internal texture, the specimen also shows heating residue consistent with historical heat enhancement, this residue is localized in cavities and healing planes and serves as a treatment fingerprint that documents the stone history, heat treatment is a common and stable enhancement in rubies and in this example it has intensified the pinkish red hue while the residual material provides a diagnostic marker for provenance studies, origin is Burma Myanmar which is known for classic chromium rich color and characteristic inclusion suites, for setting the cabochon profile responds best to bezel or halo settings that protect the dome and allow the stone to present as a central visual field, the internal inclusions function as permanent identifiers that add individuality and character rather than detract from value, The Natural Ruby Company presents this ruby with full technical disclosure and encourages clients who appreciate precise cutting technique, documented treatment history, and the natural inclusion signatures that confirm authenticity and origin.
