From the ruby bedrock of Burma, where monsoon winds and geological time conspired to concentrate chromium rich minerals, this heart shaped ruby began its journey as a raw crystal buried in river gravels and metamorphic seams. Miners guided by generations of local knowledge recovered rough material that to the untrained eye seemed ordinary, yet contained the seed of a vivid, living red.
