This vibrant natural ruby from Myanmar (formerly Burma), with its vivid red hue, justly reflects the colorful tribal festivals that celebrate the rich cultural diversity of its host country. It has our strongest color-intensity rating of “vivid,” as well as very slight inclusions, seen mostly from a side angle. And like many rubies today, it has been heated to enhance these qualities, as certified by C. Dunaigre Consulting in Switzerland. Its cushion shape shows an excellent length-to-width ratio and good table percentage, while its 2.52-carat weight would make an ample ring.
