Product description

This is an invitation into an exclusive circle of collectors and connoisseurs, a chance to own a jewel that carries the rare intensity of Mozambique ruby color and the refined artistry of master cutting, offered only by The Natural Ruby Company. This ring is not a mass produced ornament, it is a carefully curated statement piece, crafted for those who seek distinction and rarity. The central gemstone is a transparent cushion shape red ruby, weighing 2.05 carats, with dimensions of 8.21 by 6.40 by 3.80 millimeters, a vivid color saturation and an excellent polish. The stone has a clarity grade described as very slightly included, evaluated at eye level, which preserves its transparency and allows uninterrupted passage of light. From the moment the ring is lifted into light, the ruby announces itself with a depth of hue and an inner fire that is unmistakable, a testament to both its origin and to the refined cutting technique that unlocks its brilliance.

The heart of this ring is the mixed brilliant cut of the cushion ruby, a choice that balances classic silhouette with maximum optical performance. The mixed brilliant pattern combines the soft, rounded outline of the cushion shape with a pavilion and crown faceting scheme that is engineered to capture, redirect and return light to the viewer. Each facet is positioned to create a cascade of scintillation when the hand moves, and to deliver sustained face up brightness when the stone is viewed at rest. The excellent polish enhances this effect by minimizing light leakage and ensuring that each ray is met by a reflective plane, producing intense flashes of red and flashes of white that add liveliness and contrast. The slightly included clarity at eye level allows tiny natural features to remain without obstructing the pathway of light, which in fact contributes to the personality of the stone, giving it a natural signature that is unique to this specimen from Mozambique. The result is a ruby that seems to glow from within, its mixed brilliant cut turning incident light into a living spectacle.

Surrounding the ruby and accompanying the band are white round natural diamonds, selected to complement and amplify the ruby rather than to compete with it. Two of the diamonds weigh approximately 0.36 carats each, clarity VS, color F or G, and an additional accent diamond of approximately 0.10 carats, also clarity VS and color F or G, form a halo and pavé that frame the center stone and trace the band in a continuous ribbon of sparkle. The halo acts as a reflective collar, its well proportioned round facets returning light into the ruby and enhancing the perception of size and luminosity. The pavé set diamonds along the shank provide rhythmic flashes of brilliance with every motion, their F and G color grades chosen to complement the warm tones of the 18K yellow gold while maintaining a bright white contrast against the vivid ruby. The diamonds are cut and matched for optical symmetry, and their VS clarity ensures clean, lively refractions. The open gallery and precisely placed prongs are designed to admit light from beneath the pavilion, allowing the mixed brilliant cut to perform at its best, and to keep the focus squarely on the ruby while the diamonds create an elegant frame.

The setting is crafted entirely in 18K yellow gold, a metal that harmonizes with the ruby tone and lends a classic, luxurious backdrop for the stones. The warm metal enhances the red saturation, making the color appear even more vivid, while the high polish finish works with the stone cutting to reflect light both from metal and gem. This ring is an exercise in balance, every element selected to serve a singular ambition, to maximize the perception of brilliance and to deliver an heirloom quality piece that feels both intimately personal and undeniably rare. Pieces like this are available in very limited quantities, and each ring is inspected and finished to demanding standards by our masters. If you wish to claim this ring or to arrange a private viewing, contact The Natural Ruby Company. Owning this ring is more than acquiring jewelry, it is gaining membership in a select circle that recognizes the artistry of exceptional rubies and the transformative power of an exceptional cut.
