From the red earth of Burma, a single crystal began its journey, sleeping for centuries within metamorphic rock, then resurfacing into the hands of experienced miners, traders, and ultimately the gemologists of The Natural Ruby Company, who entrusted it to C.Dunaigre for certification. The stone that emerged is an intense red ruby weighing 11.06 carats, oval in shape, its proportions 15.85 x 11.38 x 6.44 mm, masterfully faceted in a mixed brilliant cut so that each plane captures and returns light from within. Heat treatment refined its vivid color saturation, while expert cutting and an excellent polish revealed a transparent presence that reads as regal and alive. Evaluated at eye level, its clarity is slightly included, a truthful testimony to its natural origin, and the whole gem is cradled in a warm setting of 18K yellow gold surrounded by a halo of white pear shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat and white round diamonds totaling approximately 3.80 carats, all graded F in color and Very Slightly Included in clarity as VS1 and VS2, which adds a ring of icy fire around the ruby and elevates its presence into heirloom territory.
When we compare clarity to other high end rings on the market, this piece presents an authentic and desirable balance. Superior rubies of rare size and saturated hue often carry minor inclusions that attest to their natural formation, and a slightly included evaluation at eye level is common among the most sought after Burmese stones, because collectors and connoisseurs prioritize color and saturation above absolute internal purity. Against that backdrop this ruby reads as remarkably transparent, its vivid tone and excellent polish translating into visual purity that competes favorably with eye clean rubies in museum quality pieces. The surrounding diamonds are in the VS clarity range and F color, a specification you will only see in fine jewelry where near perfect white and exceptional sparkle are required, and their combined weight of approximately 4.80 carats creates a luminous frame that both contrasts and complements the deep red center. This ring from The Natural Ruby Company is crafted to honor the stone story from mine to master cutter to final setting, and it offers buyers a rare marriage of natural provenance, certified authenticity, and gemological excellence.
