Product description

This pendant, crafted and finished by The Natural Ruby Company, is an exercise in classical proportion and contemporary gemological precision, designed to elevate a simple outfit with a single touch of refined elegance. The mounting is developed entirely in 18K yellow gold, selected for its warm hue and its ability to complement the saturated tone of the central ruby. The overall silhouette is compact and deliberately scaled to sit at a standard neckline, creating an immediate focal point without overwhelming a minimalist wardrobe. The design language is restrained, relying on the intrinsic qualities of the gemstones and the precision of the metalwork to convey luxury, making the piece ideal for lifting a plain blouse, a crew neck sweater, or a simple sheath dress.

At the heart of the pendant is a transparent oval shaped ruby weighing 1.18 carats, with dimensions of 7.43 millimeters by 6.16 millimeters by 2.53 millimeters, cut to a mixed brilliant pattern. The mixed brilliant approach combines a faceted crown with a pavilion plan that emphasizes return of light while maintaining the oval outline, resulting in strong face up brilliance and saturated hue delivery. The clarity is graded as very very slightly included when evaluated at eye level, which means inclusion character is minimal and does not distract from the gem at typical viewing distances. Color saturation is described as vivid, and the polish is excellent, indicating that facet junctions and facet planes are executed with tight tolerances and that the surface finish will maximize luster and scintillation. Measured against its proportions the stone exhibits a depth ratio of approximately thirty seven point three percent, a proportion that favors face up presence and color saturation, and that behaves optically as intended in a mixed cut oval.

Surrounding the ruby is a refined arrangement of white round natural diamonds, totaling approximately zero point two one carats for the primary halo, with an additional grouping weighing approximately zero point zero six carats integrated into the bale, providing continuity of sparkle along the suspension. The primary halo diamonds carry clarity grades in the range of Very Slightly Included, specified as VS1 and VS2, and a color grade of F, which ensures a cool white appearance that contrasts with and brightens the ruby without introducing color interference. The smaller bale diamonds are graded VS clarity with a color grade in the F and G range, chosen to harmonize with the halo while preserving overall visual balance. Each diamond is selected for cut quality and facet symmetry to ensure consistent light performance, and the settings are executed to provide maximum return of light while maintaining secure seating and minimal metal obstruction at the table, preserving the integrity of the visual transition between the central ruby and the diamond surround.

The technical craftsmanship of the pendant underscores its ability to elevate everyday attire. The 18K yellow gold setting is finished with meticulous attention to bezel rims and prong terminations, the gallery is engineered to allow controlled light entry and exit for both the ruby and the diamonds, and the pavillion clearance and seatings are optimized to protect the stones while maintaining optical efficiency. Proportionally the pendant is engineered to sit flat against the chest with a modest profile, ensuring that the vivid ruby remains the visual anchor whether worn alone or layered. The piece is finished with a high polish on exterior surfaces and a subtle satin on discreet internal areas to reduce friction and wear, and all work is inspected under magnification to confirm secure mounts and crisp edges. Worn with a plain top the saturated Burmese ruby imparts a statement of heritage and color, the diamond halo increases perceived size and sparkle, and the warm gold framing ties the arrangement into a cohesive, elevated appearance that transforms simple clothing into a considered ensemble.
