Product description

From the ancient alluvial gravels of Burma Myanmar, this ruby began its journey as a rare packet of molten earth and pressure, emerging over millennia to display the deep, vivid red that gem connoisseurs call Pigeons Blood. Hand recovered by experienced local miners, the rough stone was carefully selected for clarity and color, then sent for grading and verification. GRS certified, this transparent Vivid Red Pigeons Blood ruby weighs 1.27 carats, and is cut to an elegant oval shape measuring 6.62 by 5.91 by 3.61 mm with a mixed brilliant cut that maximizes fire and depth. The clarity grade is very slightly included evaluated at eye level, a testament to its natural origin and minimal intervention, and the vivid color saturation and excellent polish speak to both the quality of the crystal and the skill of the lapidary who shaped it. Beyond its physical attributes, this ruby carries the cultural weight of Burmese gem lore, a symbol of status, protection, and passion that has been prized across generations.

The finished stone is embraced by a setting crafted entirely in 18K yellow gold, chosen for its warm hue and proven durability for long term wear. Our goldsmiths at The Natural Ruby Company engineered the band to combine refined lines with structural strength, ensuring the ring resists bending and everyday abrasion while maintaining a comfortable profile for daily use. 18K yellow gold offers an ideal balance of purity and robustness, it preserves the luminous color and resists the softening that can affect higher karat alloys, and with mindful care including occasional polishing and avoidance of harsh chemicals, this ring will remain a faithful heirloom. The bezel inspired mount and open gallery highlight the mixed brilliant cut, allowing light to enter and reflect from the pavilion, accentuating the intense red that is the heart of the piece. Presented with its GRS documentation and crafted with time tested techniques, this ring invites you to carry a piece of Burma Myanmar history with confidence, beauty, and the assurance of lasting wear.
