1.76 Ct. Ruby from Burma (Myanmar)

Goody goody gumdrops! Here’s a natural ruby from Myanmar (formerly Burma) with the look of those brightly colored gelatin-based candies coated in granulated sugar. According to gemstone-certification company C. Dunaigre Consulting in Switzerland, this ruby has an “excellent” quality grade with a vivid red color that’s been enhanced with heat treatment. Also “vivid” is this Ruby's color intensity, rated as such for having the most color saturation possible without being opaque or “over-colored.” Its clarity shows very slight inclusions, a rare quality since rubies can be host to many different inclusions. Fashioned into the square cushion shape with an excellent length-to-width ratio and very good depth percentage, this 1.76-carat ruby will have your heart doing flip-flops!
