Product description
If the heat treatment of rubies received score cards grading the result of each treatment, this ruby would be awarded a “10” if not a gold medal! This beautiful vivid red radiant cut Ruby is 2.31cts of absolute glory. From Burma, and with the shining glow to be expected from such a rare source; this large, superbly cut ruby is ready to shine from a hand or neck, and to be given the adoration it deserves.
Similar to the Princess-cut in that it gives off brilliance in a square or rectangular shape, but more like an emerald cut because of its cropped corners; the Radiant Cut was invented in 1977 to allow a stone to have the classic emerald shape with the light return of a round brilliant-cut stone. One benefit of the radiant cut over the princess is that the cropped corners are less prone to chipping if your jewelry is knocked against a hard surface.
