Product description
Rubies are known for their voluptuous color, and when they’re certified as “pigeon blood” red, they’re considered the finest color quality—a red likened to the color of the arterial blood of a pigeon. This particular stone, heat-treated to render a more pure color, hails from Myanmar, the country formerly known as Burma, which is known to produce rubies with a vivid red color that’s considered the finest among collectors. At 4.14 carats, it has a quality grade of “Excellent” and a clarity grade of VVS2. A mixed-brilliant-cut of well over 100 facets interacts with the light in such a way as to create the appearance of an internal flickering flame.
