Product description
With the earthy wine-red “Marsala” being chosen as the Color of the Year for 2015 by color authority, Pantone, you’ll certainly be on trend with a ruby in this hue. Its hearty yet stylish tone, enhanced by heat treatment, has a “vivid” color-intensity classification, which means it perhaps shows opaque characteristics. Any inclusions or small internal crystals are only slightly visible on close inspection, but are not serious in plain view. Fashioned into the popular oval shape with an excellent length-to-width ratio, this 5.04-carat ruby of Burmese origin could well be showcased in a ring that also features blue or yellow sapphires, both complementary colors to Marsala.
